I have started my next LHN ornie. I could not decide which one to do next so I asked my daughter to choose a number between 1-12. She chose No 8 so Frosty Flakes it was!
I sat last night and enjoyed a lovely quiet stitching session ....

This is my first stitch of many for the Little House Needleworks Ornaments for 2010 and 2011.
I hope to finish this ornie this evening. I am not too sure how i will make them up so I will stitch a few of them first then have a think.

'Cardinal Winter' Ornie No1 2011
My very first little House Needleworks finish. I really loved working on the Evenweave and using the lovely Crescent threads. I enjoyed every stitch!

My bootie that came today
These are some of the thread I will be using to stitch The Little House Needleworks 2010 and 2011 ornie charts. The buttons are also for the ornies but the beads are for my Pendeloque.
I cannot wait to get started.

Number of hours stitched - UPDATED
On our Openminders forum Ruth set a challenge for the number of hours stitched from Friday - Sunday. I love this challenge :-)
Saturday- Sunday I plan to spend doing my Heaven and Earth design because I have not touched it since last year :-(
Friday I spent 9 hours finishing some Birthday gifts for the April Birthday People on Openminders.
I cannot show photos until Birthday dates! Don't want the birthday people to peek!
Starting soon, as I am using my laptop before my eldest son pinches my laptop as his has broken, I aim to spend every minute I can stitching Fireside Fairytales.
Saturday - 8 hours on HAED. There was a lot of colour changes so it really does not look like 8 hours at all! I think I was out of 'tune' with it! So I think I need a few more good stitching sessions to get myself back into the swing of it.
Sunday - another 8 hours. I did 5 hours on HAED and the rest on other projects plus I started the second horse for Katie so she is delighted!

Pendeloque - 1st Side Done
I am very delighted with the first side of the Pendeloque.
I think the most challenging part for me will be putting the running stitch along the sides, this is needed to put it together, much like a Biscornu, but this running back stitch is between squares on the fabric. This will be my biggest challenge on evenweave!

Pendeloque
This is my progress so far!
3 stars left to go, The bottom of the pendeloque plus metallic thread work and beads. I am loving this design as it is a challenge on evenweave and then their will be the putting together. I think I will be hooked!
When finished a Pendeloque looks like a tear drop. You can see a picture of the finished make on Creative Poppy.

Some of this weeks finishes
Lucie's Heart RR.
This is the Heart I stitched on it and the words come from the Heart xxxx
Another Heart Hanger
A yummy Cupcake Pincushion ... Shame I can't eat it!
Stitched for me
From my List of 12 I made a Heart Humbug for February. It is very Purple!
I used a design from a motif book I have and added a few buttons as an experiment to see what they would look like on the Humbug. I am pleased with the results.
This is my February Biscornu for my basket. I enjoyed stitching on evenweave. I also chose Hearts since February is the month of 'Love'

TUSAL
Ruth was blog hopping and can across a brilliant 'project' for us all ... a TUSAL, in other words a Totally Useless Sitich A Long.
You will a jar with the little bits of threads that you would normally throw in the bin and each New Moon you take a photograph of your nicely filling jar. The next new moon is 3rd April so I will take a new photograph then!

Stitching plans for today
Over the weekend I completed Lucie's Heart Themed RR and it is in the post on the way back to her.
I also got my RR back this morning. The theme was Birds and I will say the RR has turned out wonderful!
My plan for today is to stitch the March Biscornu from the set of 12 charts I got from Creative Poppy. The chart is by Helga Mandl and is a Lucky Irish Design.
My planning and scheming for this biscornu is so I can use it as my march Biscornu for the Basket of Biscornus challenge Ruth set for 2011 plus Ruth has a St.Patrick's day Competition on our Openminders Forum... so this little stitch can be used twice!

My Stitching plans for this weekend
I aim to complete Lucie's Heart Themed RR from our OM forum. I am nearly half way there so with luck and good children I will have it complete ready to post on Monday.
I have a few April Birthday presents to make and then the rest of my action plan is too hunt through my charts for a biscornu that tickles my fancy. This biscornu is for the basket of Biscornus that Ruth set as a Challenge for 2011.
Think I will chart hunt first and then get all I need together so I can stitch the weekend away!
Happy stitching all :-)

With all my heart ...
This is a little something I did during the week in between Round Robins.
I love using beads and whilst I was stitching them on my daughter Katie loved playing with them!
