Where did May go too??

Lots of busy crazy goings on here!

At the moment I am sewing Graduation Gowns for Drumragh Integrated College. The Y8's have studied Positive Mental Health programme called Hopeful Mind.

This teachs them that there is Hope and how to change your way of thinking! Its an amazing course for children and adults alike!

The Graduation is on 25th June. I have 4 gowns left to make!

I am really looking forward to seeing the children Graduation. Ok it will be great seeing them in the gowns I made but also because I co-facilitated 2 courses.

It was great teaching the children. I have one lesson left with them and I plan on doing a bit of Art Therapy with them 😁
Im looking forward to it!

Have a great weekend!

He is 2 metres and 37cms long!!

He is called Sylis (sigh-lis)

Sew ... sew ... sewing

Good Evening!

This week we have had glorious sunshine then rain AND snow!! Then back to sunshine today!! I wish the weather would make its mind up ... all the hot, cold, freezing then hot temperatures has left me with one raging angry cold!! Mind you, the kiddies don't mind because I can hardly speak hahaha!!

Over the past few weeks I have been a busy sewing bee ...

Memory Quilt
The Sewing Club at school is going grear. The children are enjoying learning to handsew, machine sew and cross stitch! I am totally loving teaching them!

Today I took part in a fun sewing competition! I didnt win but I had a great time sewing with people rather than the cat hehe 😁

I did my style of sewing as I just cannot get my head around the terminology of dressmaking! Learning 10 different languages in one day would be easier lol

I made a costume for a child ... my girls love this!

Im chuffed with this ... it the top half of a dress with a quilted and scarf tail! 😁 My kind of sewing!!

Have a lovely evening! See you all soon. 😍

Memory bears

Good evening,

Memory bears are bespoke handmade keepsakes which are made from cherished clothing or blankets that belong to yourself or to a loved one.

Memory bears are a wonderful memorial for lost loved ones or a way to remember special occasions such as weddings or events.  Turning cherished clothes into beautiful forever keepsakes

I made these bears for friends fro their loved ones clothes.

My goings on!

Such alot of exciting and new adventures going on here!

The past few weeks has seen me stand up, on stage, at my childrens secondary school assembly and gave a talk on sewing and how I was starting a sewing club at school. I asked that if anyone was interested to see me after assembly.

Well ... I got mobbed!! 😊😍😊

I am now the proud 'owner' of a Sewing Club at Drumragh Integrated College ... whoop!! 👍

Whilst getting the Sewing Club up and running I am organising being involved in a Global Sewing Party.

This is a month long party throughout the world. Its all about teaching children to sew.

Katie is a sewing ambassador for the founder of #sewasoftie. So ... Katie and I did 3 sewing lessons with her Classmates. Katie taught them to sew and I was the assistant!!

Even the local paper came to see what  this global sewing party was all about 😀

We got a fantastic
write up!!

They did great!!

After all of this exciting fun ... I would love nothing more than to start running my own sewing business. I think I have found my 'calling in life'

I have had such a wonderful few weeks ...
