Stitching and Life!

Good afternoon all,

It has been a short while since I updated.  I have been busy running from home and school and a Parents Council meeting that there has not been much time for stitching but as the time increases upto full time hours for Cara in Nursery I will have a good few hours of a morning for ME! lol

So far this week I spend about 2 evenings doing my part on Steph's Joan Elliott Fairy RR and a little bit on James' surprise Dictionary of Technology.  I really need to get a move on with both of them

Steph's RR ... fairy wings
'Broadband' On James' surprise piece

I really cannot wait to see both of these completed ;-)  With luck I will get lots done over the weekend.  I really want to get James' one finished and to the framers ASAP!

Speaking of the framers I got one of Conors Karate Dogs back this morning.  He will be delighted with it when he comes home from school.

Orange Karate Belt
He came with me when we took the stitched dog and certificate into the framers because he wanted to choose the frame and mount!  We will get the others framed with the same frame and colour mount to match the belt colour :-)  They are going to look fabulous on the wall!!

I got my books for my Open University course yesterday and I cant wait to get stuck in.  I start a Maths course at the local college on Tuesday and Im looking forward to that too!

Laura was ready the local paper yesterday and she spotted an advertisement from the College saying they are starting a 'Coffee and Craft Club' which is a course that does printing, ceramics, textiles and glass workings!!  I have put my name down for it.  I cant wait for a start date :-)

OU books for course

Well I had better get on with finishing the tea off before school runs!  So must go and save it from the oven before we have burnt rocks to eat!!

Have a great weekend

Love me

Conor and Karate

Good Evening bloggers!

I hope everyone is well.  All is good here ... well I'll pretend I said that lol! It was a bit touch and go with sickness on Sunday evening/Monday daytime as the kiddies returned from their fathers and  reported that their father had been sick all weekend!!   Ryan had a temperature of 101F so he was off school on Monday and today.  Mark looked ill last night but after a good sleep he was fine ... so all in all a lucky escape for the kiddies!!  It must be all the good food and vitamins I have been giving them :-)

Last Saturday Conor entered his grading for his orange Belt and he passed :-) One happy little Conor!!! He is really delighted with himself and he cant wait for his next grading haha!!

The Karate Kid

Orange Karate Dog

The children have the rest of this week and next week in school and then 9 weeks summer holidays for us to have fun fun FUN!!  But before the fun can start with the kiddies over the holidays I have to have fun fun FUN putting the teacher gifts together :-)

I spent a few hours over the weekend finishing off my pen-pal letters!!

I just love sending and receiving letters.  So much better than getting bills and junk mail I think!

My RR has also been posted to Cucki.  I am so looking forward to getting RR's I the post again.

Nothing else to report

Have fun and be good!!

Love and hugs

A Weekend Finish

Good Monday Morning bloggers

I hope you all had a great weekend.  My 5 younger kiddies were with their father so I promised Conor I would stitch his Karate Dog or his Yellow belt which he gain last September !

Wow I didn't realise it was months ago that he gained his yellow grading .... where have the months gone!  As the saying goes 'Time flies when your having fun' lol

So here is the fruits of my weekend ....

in Karate

I am delighted with myself that I managed to get this piece done over the weekend.  I am thinking of getting it framed with his certificate :-)  I think that will look really good so I will get his red karate Dog framed the same way too.  It will soon be time or his Orange grading so I think I will make a start on that Karate dog sooner rather than later!!

Next 'job' is to get another teacher stitching done this week.

On Saturday the 5 little kiddies are with their father again until Wednesday evening so I plan to get as much done on Cara's Summer Fairy as I can whilst I'll have nearly 5 days to get stitching done.  Then they hare home Wednesday evening, Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning then back with their father on the Saturday afternoon until Sunday Evening ... Whilst the kiddies are away mummy shall play lol!!

I just hope they don't come home as hungry as they did yesterday .... they raided my cupboards and fridge within minutes of being home lol!  They were like little whirl-winds coming through the door!!

Have a great day all

Bye for now

Yesterdays Adventures

Hello!

Today I have done a few lines on my HAED Fireside Fairtytales but I couldn't get peace to concentrate so I got my Charlie Bear SAL out that I am doing with Steph.  See her blog as she is making brilliant progress.

I'll have to post a picture in the morning as my camera is taking the photo orange lol  Bad light is the culprit!!

I love Margaret Sherry Designs but I haven't stitched any of hers since I did the Karate Dog for Conor, which then reminded me I need to do him another Karate Dog but with a yellow belt on!!  Better get a move on, plus add that 'job' to my WIP/To-Do list before I forget again!!

Anyway back to the Margaret Sherry lovers blog I decided that since there is a year to complete the piece I might as well join up and get myself back into the Margaret Sherry frenzy I used to be in many moons ago lol!!

So looking forward to this .... in all my excitement of my new found 'joining-in' so far in 2013 I must remmber that I have 2 Open University essays to do by the end of march lol!!

Bye for now

xxxxxx

Such a long time

Hello bloggers!

I haven't been here for soooooo long!!  Sorry about that but my internet was cut off by my soon to be Ex but now all back up and running (with a much better package deal lol!!)

So here are a few pictures of our antics over the last few weeks!!

I haven't stitched much as there was far too much going on.  Katie (now 5) started school 2 weeks ago and had shorter hours than the normal day but from tomorrow she is in full time so much more time for stitching for me!!

Katie's 1st day at school.
She looks lovely in her new uniform :-)
The children all waiting for the school bus!  Katie decided that she wanted to go on the bus from just the second day of starting year one!  Little miss independent lol

Ryan, Mark, Conor and Katie waiting for the bus
Ryan has had a riddle published in a book

James received a medal from his school.  James is totally delighted!!

and last but no way least yesterday Conor gained his Yellow Belt in Karate :-)

Well Done Conor
xxxxxx
Now, as per the instruction of Conor, I have another Margaret Sherry 'Karate Dog' to do wearing a Yellow Belt:-)

I am in the middle of cooking a roast dinner at the moment.  More from me later on with the updates of my little bits of stitching I have done.

Happy blogging and Happy Sunday all

Love me xxxx

Catch Up

Hello to you all!

Oh wow it has been a long time since I last blogged ... what can I say other than just not enough hours in the day plus not much stitching time at all.

Kiddies and myself have not been very well.  Bugs and germs flying around us all then back again!!  Then it was Easter, which was great fun! Loved seeing the children with their chocolate Eggs.  This year the Easter Bunny even left paw prints in the house lol :-)

Good news though, My 7 Year Old Conor passed his grading for his Red Belt in Karate.  I can now admit I did some secret stitching for him. I did a design by Margaret Sherry 'Karate Dog' from the Bookazine that was printed some months ago. Needless to say Conor is totally delighted with his red belt and his Karate dog!!  I must get a photo of the piece and post it!

I have done a few small designs as our Craft Club are doing a stall at the school summer Fete in May.  I cannot wait to sell some of what I have stitched!

I have stitched a little on my Fairy Grandmother.  I spent hours stitching her face 1 over 1 on 32 count evenweave but it looks like I have hardly done anything on her! I early gave myself eye strain lol.  I will post a photo of her too.

I cannot think what else I have done except housework, shopping, see to sick children and a little stitching ... ooo eat chocolate too!!

I will post photos asap!

Bye for now

Love me xxxxx
