The school summer holidays have srarted! One week down, 7 to go 😮🙄😊

We go on our holidays very soon! I cannot wait!

The start of July is the start of #sewasoftie which is run by Coloured Buttons AKA Trixi, in Australia.

Each day of July a different blogger posts a tutorial, on their blog, showing how to make a cute softie!

I finally made my Dresden Plate Quilt Blick into an actual cushion lol I made  the cushion cover quite some time ago but never actually finished it off! 

Here 'she' is in all her beautiful glory!

She's Finished!!!

Hello to you all!

The summer Holidays are going swimmingly ... literally lol The rain has not stopped at all for weeks!!  I think we need an arc building haha

Laura and Abby moved out a few weeks ago and its very strange I must say!!  James is off to Uni in 4 or 5 weeks time ... the family is shrinking!!  No doubt James will be home every few weeks with a bag of washing and to raid the fridge haha!!

With the weather so bad I ended up booking Mark, Katie and Cara into the local summer scheme for a few hours a day just so they had something to do!  Where has the sunshine gone?

The kiddies are at their fathers this week so I sat down and finished my Summer Fairy :D Delighted!!

Of course the children have a list of stuff ready for me to start now lol There's no rest for the wicked lol

I already 'had' to stop my Fairy stitching the other week to stitch a doggie for Cara!!  Oh the chore of such a task lol

I have also stitched and posted my exchange for the Margaret Sherry blog exchange but I cant show photos just yet :) I think the next task will be Cara's mermaid and then Ryan's dragon!  Both designs by Joan Elliott ... I think they are as hooked on her designs as I am :D

Totally delighted!! #projectoftheweek

Hello All,

Yesterday my Summer fairy was voted project of the week by the World of Cross Stitching magazine :)

I cannot believe how many lovely comments I got and also all the 'likes'  Totally over the moon!!

I can imagine that you are all getting a bit fed up of looking at the lovely lady lol  

I aim to have her finished asap!!  I am just waiting on more metallic thread to arrive so I can finish her dress off and get more beads on!!

This nomination was a lovely surprise and a nice birthday gift to me lol  Its my 44th Birthday today!!

The British Heart Foundation and @YorkshireMOS are doing a giant Heart of Steel and by making a small contribution people can have names engraved on this giant Heat of Steal ... needless to say I am having, with Katie's full agreement, her name engraved on the heart :)  As many of you know she was born with 2 holes in her heart.  One has closed and in August she is due a scan again to check on her progress ... fingers crossed .... anyway click on the link and have a look at this magnificent project being organised by lots of companies!!  Its amazing!!

Well as you can see I am on the final run of Joan Elliott's Summer Fairy!!  Phew its been a long time coming!!

Wow No posts in June!! .... SO BUSY and then a Challenge!!

Well Hello there Strangers!!

Wow I cannot believe I have not posted in a whole month! Well there has been so much going on its unbelievable!

well I shall try and do things in order ...

First of all I passed Uni my course on Understanding the Autism Spectrum :)  I am totally delighted with myself!!

Next, I have been very busy with school stuffs and Parents Council ... Then it was Cara's 5th Birthday :D  A great afternoon once she was home from school :)

We have had sports days and End of Primary school play for Ryan as he will be off to big school in September.  Then End of year leavers night for Ryan's year too ... The list just goes on and on!!  June certainly was a busy month all round!

The children finished school on Tuesday afternoon for the summer holidays.  They have all of July and August off school so I plan on getting a great deal of stitching done in between days out and fun times :)

Yesterday we went into the Library and signed up for the Record Breakers Reading Challenge.  I am sure we will have fun taking part!!

Another one bites the dust ....

Final assessment sent for one of my Uni courses ... therefore another one complete for ME!!!

So watch this space .... stitch stitch stitch for me all over Easter before my last part of my last course for a while :)  The light is at the end of the tunnel lol

Hello there!

Once again the kiddies have been down with illness but they seem to have recovered from that thank goodness so we have had quite a bit of relaxation and fun for a change!  Well deserved I would say!! 

I have started stitching on Summer Fairy again and I am hoping to get this finished over the Easter Holidays :)  I do hope so!!  Most of my study is nearly finishes for a few months so its back to stitching :)  I need to catch up with Sal's and get teacher stitching done for June!!

Over the last few weeks I have caught up with my studies and I am nearly completed one course in Autism :)  I also did a free on line course in PR so I can keep myself on the straight and narrow with my PR roll in the schools parents council!  I passed that course with flying colours :D Busy busy busy!!

Here at last ...

Hello all!

Well I have finally managed to log in and write a quick post!!  Life here is going well but super fast!!  Busy busy busy all day long helping with baby Abby and the school summer holidays! :)  We went for a lovely picnic in the park last week so I must find the photos and post a few!  We had a great time and we were there for hours and hours but it seemed like 5 minutes lol

I have finally managed this weekend to get detailed charted up for Abbys birth sampler so I will work away on that tonight and then I can get it to the framers! 

So far so good!

This week I have been sorting and organising my bedroom and I got a nice new bed too!  Cara is ready for a proper full size bed so she will have my single bed as its only a few months old so I bought a double bed .... for the same price as a single!!  Haha there was a method in my madness ... so I now have a big bed for when we have visitors. Speaking of visitors my mum and dad are coming over very soon so they can use my room rather than moving laura like we did.  So much harder moving Laura out of her room now that Abby is in there and that that would upset Abbys routine!  

The bed sheets I chose are lovely and I got some cushions to accessorise lol  I love typewriters so I really could not resist buying them!

The quilt cover has letters and postcard printed on also with 'Make Do And Mend' sayings on plus ... 'Stitched With Love' printed on which I didnt realise that was on so I was totally made up with my buy!!

I couldnt resist showing off my quilt cover with my TUSAL for this month ... a perfect condination I think!

UPDATE

Hello to you all!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter day and holidays :)

Mine has been a little strange because the children have been with their father since Wednesday so the house has been a little quiet to say the least but there has been plenty going on  to keep me busy, so busy infact I just done know where the last 6 days have gone to!!  The children will be home later on this evening so I am really looking forward to noise and a messy house again lol 

The last few days I have stitched on Summer Fairy and she is coming along nicely!  Still alot to do but she will be so worth it in the end.  Not alot of stitching but quite a bit backstitch in DMC and metallic threads plus 100's of beads to stitch on!!  Now that will be a task and a half I think lol   Looking forward to seeing her finished though :)

I felt very lucky when I received this exchange from Bernadette in France .... The Exchange was organised by Mii Stitch so thank you both very much!  I totally love all that I received and being an avid letter writer I love the personalised address book Bernadette made just for me!!  :)  I really love the eggs in the basket and the beautiful bubble baths PLUS I can reuse the baskets when all the lovely goodies have gone!!  I just love re-using items!!  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you
