Family fun and Joan Elliott stitching :D

Hello there!

Once again the kiddies have been down with illness but they seem to have recovered from that thank goodness so we have had quite a bit of relaxation and fun for a change!  Well deserved I would say!! 

I have started stitching on Summer Fairy again and I am hoping to get this finished over the Easter Holidays :)  I do hope so!!  Most of my study is nearly finishes for a few months so its back to stitching :)  I need to catch up with Sal's and get teacher stitching done for June!!

Over the last few weeks I have caught up with my studies and I am nearly completed one course in Autism :)  I also did a free on line course in PR so I can keep myself on the straight and narrow with my PR roll in the schools parents council!  I passed that course with flying colours :D Busy busy busy!!

Hello All!!

How are you all doing?  I hope everyone is fit and healthy and full of fun!!

I am glad to report (touch wood she says slapping her head!!) that everyone here is fit and healthy and full of fun :D  YAY!!!  Katie and Cara are all better now after their tonsillitis!  What a few months we have had here but with luck and sheer determination we will all bounce into Spring with no germs!!

The last week I have been busy with school activities:-

Monday was Parents Council Quiz Night and I must say I had a ball!!  Such a brilliant night out!

Tuesday was Parents Council meeting and lots discussed and much to organise.

Wednesday Katie was singing in the Junior Choir at the High School.

Thursday and Friday I plotted and planned the things that needed doing plus various other activities ... I feel like I just have not stopped!!  But its the weekend now so it is chill out time :)

Friday was Integration Day at the Kiddies school so they wore colours of different countries flags!  It turned out all but Mark had something red on lol!!  Red must be a great colour since many countries have it in the flag!!

The other day I took Mark for his new glasses and whilst we were waiting (which was a long time) I dared Conor to try on some glasses and let me take a photo to put on Facebook ... He did too lol so I owe him £2 haha ... Now its on my blog I probably owe him another £2 hehehe :P

Back to the stitching at the
weekend I think!!

Many of you know I am waiting on an assessment for Ryan for Asperger Syndrome.  The National Autistic Society (NAS) are have National Autism Awareness week 27 March - 2 April.  On 1st April it is Onesie Wednesday ... oh yes I an wearing a onesie to help raise awareness of Autism plus its the day the kiddies finish school half day for Easter half term so I will have to collect them from school wearing a onesie lol lol lol My poor kiddies will want to run and hide haha!!!  Lets hope I raise some good sponsors and raise lots of money for NAS!  I will keep you posted on what I choose to wear 

Well not much else has gone on to report about lol

Just a quickie!!

Hello all!!

I have been super busy the last week as both Katie and Cara have got/had tonsillitis!!  Cara still seems to be worn out and quite warm but Katie seems to have recovered :)

Cara has twisted my arm to carry on with her mermaid stitching so in between medicine and juice giving I have stitched as much as I can!

I cannot find the photo on the laptop lol!!  Oh dear I seem to have lost my mojo haha!!

I am in the middle of a Uni Course on The Autism Spectrum and I am delighted and totally overwhelmed that I got 100% on my last assignment :)  Oh I need to treat myself to some stitching stash to celebrate :) So pleased with myself  to say the least :D

I hope everyone is OK and keeping out of mischief lol

Long time since I last posted ...

Hello to you all!

It has been a super long time since I was here!  I have had a ton of Uni stuff to do and since I am now the PR (Public Relations) person for the Parent Council at my kiddie's school I decided to do a PR online course :) So there is no excuse for me not to know what I am doing in the world of PR now lol

Once again Katie and Cara are not well ... Looks like tomorrow is another day off school for both of them!  They haven't been in for a few days!

Not much stitching done for me as I have been filling my brain with educational stuff instead of the glorious stitching stuff!!  My poor head lol

I have managed to catch up with a Joan Elliott SAL I am in.  I will put the beads and metallic thread on at the end!  My phone camera has not taken a very good photo!!

Just 2 more squares to go :)

I have also started a mermaid for Cara!!

This is a mermaid ... honest!!

I have also been letter writing and Postcrossing!  I've been busy doing lots but not getting much done lol!!  I just do not know where the days are going too at all!!  

I have finally caught up with my organising my Birthday thread group ... Lucky really as the first birthday in the group isn't until April!!  I am just so slow and behind with things ... fingers crossed I have caught up and will stay that way!!  I am normally a very organised person :)

DUCJC update and general stuffs!!

Hello Hello and Hello again!!

Oh boy oh boy oh boy such a busy crazy and snowed in time!!  I cannot believe that for the third time this month we have been snowed in at home!!  Outside at the moment is so white and slippy it is unbelievable!! Only this evening I drove down our driveway and went to turn the car so I could back 'her' into 'her' usual space and I got stuck on the ice!!  It is just total madness!!  Once again the kids have missed school because of the weather and where we live, which is in the middle of nowhere with no decent roads to drive on until we hit the little village by us!!  I think a move is needed to get back towards the town (plus away from my crazy landlord!! ... that's another story lol!!!) 

Anyway, back to the lovely stuff of stitching ....

I cannot believe today (31st) is the last day!!  Others are still carrying on throughout February but I have Uni assignments to complete and I am also taking part in Letters of the Month challenge for February so I do not wish to over do it with promises and then not fulfill anything!!  Uni stuff is a must, the rest is fun!!  :)

Quite a long list there!!  I should have done another update in between this one and last post but I just never got the chance lol  

I have really enjoyed taking part in this challenge in memory of Debbie!  I certainly will take part next year if Linda is running it but I will be a lot more organised next year lol!!  

I am sure I had a lot more to say but I think there is enough words on this post for now lol!!  Plus I want to post this before February arrives in a few minutes time haha!!  Cannot post a January challenge in February now lol ....

DUCJC update and Joan Elliott SAL ... plus a funny slip up lol

Good Evening bloggers,

I hope you are all well and for those of you with the snow falling I hope you are not snowed in like we are!!  We have had a fun week with the snow and the school has even been closed on one occasion.

On Friday there was that much snow at school bus run time that we decided going out at a silly time in the morning in a fresh heavy snow fall was a little silly, if not dangerous!!  So a few hours later after a few cars had been up and down our road James and I decided to venture down to the shop as wee needed milk (and maybe some chocolate lol) Well we got to the shop and half way up our road home the car got stuck!!  James being the practical and forward thinking person he is had actually brought a spade lol  So dig dig dig to get the car unstuck ... but the car still wouldn't budge on the slippy road!  Needless to say I went head over heals on the slippy road lol James just laughed and laughed then took photos!!  Thanks James hahaha!! we left the car, walked home and then came back a few hours later once the snow started to melt.  Thankfully we got the car home in time because then it started snowing heavier ... now we are under about 8 inches of snow!!  School on Monday is looking like another no-go!!
