DUCJFC2016 Days 9 to 15 update!!

Hello there!

Amongst my daily madness of family life I have managed a few motifs and a penguin!! lol

The motifs I intend to use as practise for making up things on my sewing machine and if they turn out good I will them use them as gifts ... if they turn out bad then not much of a loss as I can then use for key rings or something!!

I am also a member of Letters of the Month so I am getting myself ready for a month of letters!!  This is were I send out one letter/postcard/card etc out each day to someone and with luck I should get mail from people too, but I'm looking forward to the sending part!!  I am very excited and hope I receive lots of lovely mail during February!  I am fed up of bills and junk mail coming through my letter box!!  If anyone would like a spot of mail sending their way then drop me an e-mail :D

DUCJFC2016 Days 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8!

Hello there

How are you all?  I hope everyone is well!  It looks like the cold weather is heading our way!  Cold, frosty fog is over my way tonight!!  I just cannot get warm at all!!

Anyway I have been a busy bee the last week!  I have a nice update to show off!  Lots of stitching has been done (for a change lol)

Shortly I will start Day 9 of the DUCJC2016 . The rest of this weekend I am going to sort out a few sewing machine projects and have a play about on my machine whilst.

Also I am going to catch up on my pen-pal letters!!  It sure feels great to get back to normal :D

DUCJFC2016 Day 2 and 3

Good Evening,

Here are two more of my starts for this year :D

I really do need to organise a place to put my starts as I never thought of that until about an hour ago lol!!  I will have things everywhere haha!!

Day 2 - Gift

I shall make it into a hanging ornie or maybe a coaster.  I have not yet made up my mind!

Day 3's start is a chart that I was given as a birthday gift

I am totally enjoying my new starts plus getting organised in the gifts that I need to make throughout the year, particularly for the end of school year!  Last year I was 'last minute' as usual and ended up spending a fortune buying gifts!  It seems silly since I have the ability to make gifts plus everything I need as I have far too much stash lol!!  

I think day 4 I will carry on with Cara's Mermaid as she is nagging me to finish!  I was going to start Ryan's dragon but I will wait until the weekend for that one when the kiddies are away and I can concentrate a bit more!

The start of 2016 and ...

Stitching already :)

Day one of DUCJFC2016 has started :D

Today I started a baby sampler I was given as a gift by a very dearly departed friend and fellow stitcher whom I met on a cross stitching forum many years ago!!  

So I thought it was a fitting tribute to Debbie and Angela that I started my crazy challenge with this baby sampler that I was given when Cara was born ... Now I just feel really bad as that was 5 and 1/2 years ago!!! 

I have managed a very small start today as we spent most of the day having a quality family day before the madness of normal life resumes lol!  Back to normal after Christmas and New Year.

I hope you have had a great start to 2016!  Let the stitching fun begin :D

A fantastic Christmas

We had a lovely time, simple but lovely :D

I think the biggest task was all the cleaning up and making sure nothing got lost in the mountain of wrapping paper lol Not many presents but they sure produced a lot of wrapping paper lol!! This was me by Christmas night ...

So, today I am going to finish sorting out my stitching list for 2016 then get some studying done!! (That's boring and not as much fun as stitching but hey ho it needs done!!) 

I have joined DUCJFC2016 in memory of Debbie.  This group has been set up and hosted by Linda. This challenge starts on 1 January 2016 so i had better get my skates on and finish my list!!  

Then do the usual ... out with the old and in with the new for New Year!!  I love going into the New Year with everything neat and tidy!!  Maybe I have a touch of OCD!!
