Time is flying by!!

Hello there!!

Wow where have the weeks gone?  Not a bit of crafting done :(  I shall cross stitch tomorrow I think!! 

The kiddies are all off school now for the summer.  They are not back until September eeeek!!  The children came home with many awards :)  Katie has a fantastic poem written in her book!

They have been busy playing out, at tennis or at Youth Club! Busy busy busy!!

It was my birthday a few weeks ago!  I had a great day :D As part of my birthday present off my mum she sent me my Grandmothers old thimbles!!  Totally fantastic :D  I am delighted!

No other news really!!  I need to get some crafting done I think!  I have been too busy watch Tour de France and the Wimbledon ... thank goodness the football has finished haha!! Watching sports then catching up with my chores in the afternoon/evening!

Just a quickie!! ...

Hello to you all!

I hope everyone is well!  We have been super busy here as it is nearing the end of the school year for my kiddies!  They will have finished for the summer this Thursday,  It is Conor's final days at Primary school so things have been crazy!

I also have bags to make for Teacher gifts so I had better get my skates on as there only a few days left!!

Then when the summer starts we plan to sew and stitch the weeks away :D

Golly Gosh!

Hello there bloggers!

Wow it has been a month since my last posting ... naughty me!  Well in my defence (lol) my computer gave up on me so I had to wait til I could get another one!  So ... here I am ... back again to torment and annoy lol

James is now home from Uni for the summer holidays!  The gang is back together again! :D

Yesterday was Cara's 6th Birthday :D She had a brilliant day!  Tomorrow we will have a party in a Kiddies adventure soft ball playground!  That will be fun :D 

I haven't done much cross stitch or sewing other than gifts or things the kiddies have asked for!!  I am in the process of finishing off teacher gifts and I did a few cushions as a birthday present!  I am going to use the covers I did as a practise for my own sofa!  They don't look too bad lol

The children also decided they wanted to learn to play Tennis!

So off we went to the Omagh Lawn Tennis Club!

James booked a court for us for an hour on Friday and we had such great fun!!

Well, I must get back to making the teachers end of school year gifts!  The school Summer Holidays start on 30th June!!  Eeeek not much time left lol

Time flies ...

Hello All,

Wow I can't believe it has been over a week since my last posting in the A-Z Challenge!

I have been crafting and making 'behind the scenes' haha!!  Plus my mum came to visit for 5 days, which was totally fantastic :D  

I got really fed up hunting for stuff that I needed when sewing/making so I went out and bought a few storage boxes, pinched a shelf unit from my bedroom and I now have mine and kiddies sewing stuffs all organised :D

I have started a cushion for Conor but I haven't  got too far though!!  Here is his penguin which will be sewn on ASAP

Cara did have a plastic type bag that the school give the children at the start of a new school year, to put their homework in.  Well Cara's got a hole in the bottom!!  So after a few carrier bags that ended up with holes in the bottom I decided to make her a bag.  I think the problem was she kept dragging the bags on the floor, as they where nearly bigger than her, which was why she ended up with holes in the bottom!!

I use two different designs of fabric, which was sent to the girls, by Jean.  I have lined the bag on the inside with iron-on interfacing!!  Lets hope that is strong enough to last until the end of June!!  

Last but not least ... my mum as taught me to knit!!  :D

A to Z Challenge 2016

Z is for ... Zips

Which is something I have yet to try!

But I do have some on order!

Zips are handy little things ... They keep the cold winters wind off you because you can zip up your coat!

They stop the children's homework falling out of their school bag ... well, that's if the kiddies remember to zip their bags up lol 

Just like buttons ... they stop your clothes falling off which could leave you in an embarrassing position if that happened!!!  

I really do hope that you have enjoyed my A-Z Challenge posts.  I have really enjoyed writing my posts and please do pop by again!

Y is for ... Why I love to craft! 

Which is something I really do enjoy!

I really enjoy my crafting!!  With recently learning how to use the sewing machine, then my world is my oyster!!  I just love to craft, not only to make things, but it keeps me active and it is very calming and soothing :D

A - Z Challenge 2016

X is for ... X-stitch (AKA Cross Stitch)

Which is something I love to do and have done since 1999!!!

Just stitchin the day away!!  

I 'found' my lovely hobby in a shop called Woolworths!

I saw a gorgeous Winnie-The-Pooh picture on the from of a plastic box, which had paper, threads and a needle inside!!  I looked at this funny looking things for a while and put it back on the shelf thinking 'I can't do that!'  

Well, I thought about this funny looking thing all for a while, then I went back to Woolworths and bought it!!

It took me nearly 5 hours to read and understand the instructions and sort the threads into the correct colour piles lol 

Oh my, oh my, oh my I have never looked back since!!  I was totally hooked from that day on!!  It took me a whole week to finish this little picture!  I think I was at it for about 12 hours a day lol!

Brilliant!!

It is however looking a little worse for wear in the frame!!  

X is also for ... xstitchchick ... which is what my Twitter name is!  Very fitting I think!
